As part of a service initiative, Scott contributed to building housing for at-risk families and taught English and mathematics to local children. This experience strengthened Scott’s leadership, adaptability, and cross-cultural communication skills, while reinforcing his commitment to community development and social responsibility.

Co-Founder & Organizer — “Call of Duty” Fundraising Project (BC Children’s Hospital, Vancouver, BC)
March 2014
At age 12, Scott helped co-lead the “Call of Duty” fundraising project in partnership with Harper Grey LLP and his hockey team, the Arbutus Avalanche Peewee Rep, to support BC Children’s Hospital after his personal recovery from septicemia. Together, Scott and his team donated 15 PlayStation 3 consoles, one Xbox, and 50 games to provide entertainment and healing for children undergoing treatment, and funded travel housing for a child with a rare skin disease. This experience taught Scott the importance of community leadership, teamwork, and giving back early in life; values that continue to guide his professional and personal life.
